My Amp won't even turn on

Yea, so last night/this morning, I finally installed the subs. Get it all wired up...the excitement rushes over my body, the key turns...

And there's no bass.

The Brutus won't even light up. What could be my problem? I have 4 guage power wire running from the positive terminal, through a fuse (yes, the fuse is installed), to the amp in the trunk. The ground wire is hooked up to some random nut on the chassis. Anybody?

Try sanding around your ground. Usually its the ground. Just make sure that its metal to metal touching. Then check your remote wire if the ground doesnt fix it.

Remote wire hooked up? Got juice? (You do have a voltmeter or tester, right?)

Didn't sand around the ground...and I have a voltmeter, just don't know how to use it.

Anyways, I unscrewed and rescrewed the ground to the chassis and the remote to the amp. I'm a very happy boy with bass now.

always sand down until you see bare metal...then you know you've got a good ground continunity there.

glad to hear you've got bass now...I don't :/
