i just installed my amp, im no pro. i ran the remote wire to the radio fuse in the fuse box, now my amp stays on w/out the keys. will it drain my batt? i have a 03 mustang cobra withe the mach 460 and cd changer. where can i run the remote to turn on and off w/ the ignition. thanx alot

Depending on your headunit, there should be a marked wire that reads something like "AMP REM Max ##" or something along those lines. As long as your HU is installed right, this will switch power to your amp when your keys are turned to the ACC pos or on.

if u still didnt wire it with the ignition , u can just run a wire from the +ve terminal of the battery to the remote control in the amp , and connect a small switch in the middle of the wire near the driver seat , so u can put ON and OFF the amp when needed , that if ur HEAD UNIT really sux .... it works nice , i used to do that btw ... good luck

if it is a factory unit and you can't find the wire, what you can do instead is this:

switch off engine

depress cigarette lighter

if it pops out, then ignore my post. if it stays in there after a long period of time, voila~ tap a wire from the cigar jack.
