MTX terminator dual 12" subwoofers vented box smelly voice coils?

The OP should follow youdoofus; and what she is saying about frequencies...

When you think about youdoofus, think F.A.G. and you will never blow your subwoofers.

is my only solution to buy more powerful subs? I dont want to spend more than 100$ per sub but I still want subs that are reliable and can handle their rated power

and I want some subwoofers that have a good frequency response too. a balanced response thats not peaky at one frequency. I want them to sound good at most frequencies. Ive already modified the box and put stuffing in it and I changed the port tuning down to 30hz since it was tuned really high and sounded awful and peaky. it sounds better but I need better subwoofers if these cant handle even 200 clean watts per subwoofer.
any sub is better even blaupunkts u can get at walmart for $28.. however i suggest u look at dar audio nko $99 each 500rms but people run 1k rms to them daily.. guy live 2 towns over just got 2 on ap 2k (tested over 1900rms) in a nice ported box, they tearing his car aprt

I'll have to save up for a few months but I'll check them out once I get the chance. thanks
dude, just so you know, there are TONS of sub mfgs nowadays that make stuff that will kill those terminators (oh, the irony :D ) and getting yourself a decent sub in a correctly built box with some power behind it will astonish you. @BOOMINGRANDPA has the right idea about getting a truly powerful sub for around a c-note and build a box for it yourself. We can guide you on what to do with the box if youre not confident about it. I know there has been some **** thrown around in this thread, but stick around and when you have about $150 for a sub and a box, wel can get you where you need to be. Hell, if you decide on what to get now, we can advise on the box you should build for it as that literally only costs about $40 in materials and a couple hours of work from you

youdoofus can't tell the difference between copper welding cable and a garden hose🤣

Probably could discern between a monkey's ass or a monkey wrench either 😂

The OP's subs look fine for entry level stuff too me. All I see is a bunch of **** posting here.

Back to my first comment, it's normal for new drivers to smell when you first put power to them which is what the original post was asking about.

Smell you later F.A.G.

😂🤣😀😂🤣😂😆😁

the fact remains that you have a phallic image as your avatar. and youre still trying to talk ****. he is likely burning his subs from clipping. shitposting is the pure definition of what youre doing on this thread.

Entry level subs or not, MTX makes descent gear.

And you are not going to clip a cheap 500 watt amp short of overdriving it with sine wave for an hour, and overpower two 500 watt subs.

there are some folks who are so devout to bands, you could release a 74 minute cd of just pink noise and say its their favorite bands newest album and theyd be all over it... kinda like the last 4 metallica albums :D

We call their brand new amp junk because we know the brands apart from others. They call it new, we call it junk. Oh look, brand new junk.
