Poorly implimented linear spider assemblies?
With that being said, mated with their outlandish inductance claims, I'd have to assume (I haven't heard one myself) that given the power, linearity goes down the tubes. Composure at high excursion levels is something that I would love to see any sub equal the W7
adire and Resonant engineering both have subs that will stay more composed at full throttle than the w7 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Dumax tests prove it. And they do it with less distortion as well. And the the Re xxx has just as much excursion as the 13w7 with more cone area and more powerhandling thermally //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

as for the 9500s.. they can hold 142v.... wich is like 5000watts where is the w7 only held 119v.... not only can they hold some power... the more power you give em the more and more they pound

Did you hear about the 13w7 handling 2 20,000w amps and didn't blow? hehe try that on 4 9500 15's and see if even all of those can handle what 1 13w7 did //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif

I will back both of these subs up though and I love the W7, 9500 is pretty good, not as good as the W7 IMo overall. But the W7 is not the best sub I've had. I'd say the Magnum 15" I had was better than the 13w7 i had.

We'll let Mark's ears prove that one.

yea. mark has them dumax ears //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Haha @ that statement.

40,000w would melt the voice coils rather quickly. BS is fun for sure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Considering that the W7 only has one 3 ohm voice coil, I'd love to hear how it had 2 20,000w amps hooked up to it.
Doooood come on, they were hooked together with some wire. Obviously.

Obviously they are talking about a prototype woofer, since the released woofer only had one voice coil.

"We strapped them on each coil for a total of 20,000 watts."

Or am I wrong?
