Hey, i'm running my 9510G off my kicker 1200.1 at 1 ohm atm, but I hav a mint old Alpine

MRV1507 that would do sorta the same pwr at 4 ohm, what would be best to run my sub, pretty sure the alpine is a class a/b and the kickers is a d-class.... also I have only got 4 gauge throughout and duel d34 optima batts.

any help would be great, cheers

thanks for your reply, either way the sub isn't getting enough pwr, would running the kicker damage the sub less than the alpine? would I get more sound quality and punch from the alpine coz it's 4 ohm?

lol, i'm in Australia bud, got a matching mrvf407 I think it is too.... such nice looking amps (way overbuilt imo)

Id run the kicker its 1ohm stable which is where I would wire it to. The kx1500 and 2500 where iffy at running 1ohm but the kx1200 runs it fine iirc.

and even running it at 4ohm its gonna be alot more efficient. Which means less voltage drop and intern more power

1200.1 only does 300wrms at 4 ohm.... mrv1507 does 900+ rms at 4 ohm bridged.

should I wire it to 4 ohm on the kicker amp and see how it sounds, 300wrms seems like nothing.
