Hmm, i was looking at these and their **** nice cars... but they seem to be a pain in the *** to work in like impalas, what would happen if i were to put an after market HU on one, would i have to relocate the stock HU? What if i dont want to relocate the stock HU, what would i lose? I dont care for door chimes.

There are ways around everything you lose with replacing the stock HU. I believe you lose chimes, and I believe onstar is wired in there some how. They also reset the change oil, low air pressure, and low voltage indicators through the radio. However, I know there are ways around those. My buddies dad, whom is a mechanic said that there are different ways to get things resetted. The only thing I'm confused by is OnStar... But then again, I plan on taking out every stock stereo component in my 2002 monte...

and i don't give a shit about door chimes neither... I think they are annoying..

I don't feel like paying $90+ for a wiring harness when, I don't care about those features... And yes, the wiring harness relocates the reciever to the trunk...

Wow, their just like the 00+ Impalas lol, theirs a wiring harness on cardomain for sale for the impalas thats like $80 and you dont lose anything.... but again, i dont need onstar either but it wouldnt hurt having it, these cars are a pain in the *** to work in as i see.. anyways, how much should i expect to spend in a 00 Monte, pref black with less than 70k, SS.

Well, i purchased my 2002 Monte SS with 80K for $10K... I imagine that you could probably get the 00' for around $8000-$10000, mainly depending on condition, and options...

I normally just KBB stuff to get the general price area...

GM still sucks the fat one. You can still reset the tire pressure and oul pressure through the gas and brake pedals, but i dint see myself paying $100 for a wire harness.

My local shop carries those harnesses for about $80... but i can get it for $60...

****it, i really like the Impala and this same shit scared me away, then i liked the MC and the SAMe shit scared me away. I guess the Maxima will have to do.

dont change the car you drive and spend thousands on, because of a 80$ part.

Trust me, once you drive the SS you will love it much more than the maxima.

Get the Maxima but the 00 models come with the 3.0 not the 3.5...
