Memphis Audio questions

Sup All. Im new. Some quesitons on Memphis Audio.

Currently running thier 16-ST250D amp to thier lowest model 10" sub. Was told that the sub can handle the 250rms that amp puts out so...considering everything else is stock in my car, save for my Nakamichi CD-45z deck, its good for now. Great in fact.

Still looking for an upgrade, so this is what Im looking at:

2 sets of 15-MCSQ6.5 components (front doors, rear cards)

1 Memphis Belle 16-MC600D 5 channel amp

Amp puts out 55rms x 4 @ 4ohms and 75rms x 4 @ 2ohms, channel 5 puts out 400rms @ 1ohm.

COmponents are rated at 50rms, but noting about ohms in the Memphis catalog

As far as powering the components go, they should be able to work with that amp. Do you think the sub would be fine if the gain on channel 5 was turned down? or would it simply be getting too much power? would a higher rms sub be better?

That Memphis Belle would then replace the 250D of course.

Thanks.

components most of the times r 4ohms, n that amp should be enough to power it. hmmm, sub should be fine, just watch for distortion n u should be fine, if not, then u got an excuse to upgrade ur sub =p

good choice, n have fun

so then with the gain turned down on channel 5, i should be fine? just clarifying.

From what you know, Memphis makes good stuff i take it?

Oh yeah, and I have the plain black sub that you said you have seen times 4 in another car (was looking at another thread)
