Ever sit to think as to why the A series was canceled?

I don't usually sit down and think about subs, but according to the owner of eD, it was because their distributor for Nomex raised prices drastically making it impossible for them to offer the A in that incarnation for a reasonable price.

I suppose I could take that at face value.

There was also cone problem causing it to crack. They tried fixing it and did something else, and then that caused a different problem. I forgot all the specifics for the 2nd problem.
