Major Problem!

I just installed a 1000 watt amp for my 4 10" pioneers.

The problem is i can listen to CD's fine with some great sound, but when i switch the head set over to the tuner(FM), ever time the subs hit the front speakers get major distortion!

WHAT CAN I DO?

Do you have factory speakers in the front? I had this problem also, and I had to look at my wiring and everything.

My trouble shooting theories: Poor radio reception, HU being pushed too hard.

If you have just a minor problem with reception it can make the bass sound horrible.

When you play a CD the signal level is at a constant giving you non stop clean signal flow. When you switch to FM the signal can change and the bass signal may boost from the CD listening level. Try turning the HU down two notches lower than your CD listening level.
