A friend of mine has a pair of L7 15"s in a dual chambered ported box in the back of an extended cab f-150.. OMFG. Like at least 10dB louder then my HC, but then again my HC was seeing 800 watts, and his L7's were seeing 1300w per sub. it literally hurts to sit in it, i would love to get it metered, but he needs a new alt and a pair of yellow tops to be sucessful in the lanes.

They're louder because thur right behind you. Ill be deaf in my Right ear cuz my SX will be there. If Fedex (pos) ever brings my sub. been 6 days no sign of it yet.

It is all in the install. You simply CANNOT predict output nor soundquality in your car from a bunch of DUMAX specs. FACT.

what about a 15" MA Audio KORE. Never heard them, nice specs. I had an argument with a guy about them. I said the Adire audio parthenon is better he said the KORE.

Ok, I had a jeep, and he had an f-150 ext cab. he had dual L7's but both were in separate chambers and had their own amps. .
soo, we unhooked one of the subs, and blasted it. His was louder than mine no comparison when i put my HC box in there. Same truck, but mine was getting more power because we forced the JBL to go down to .7 ohms because of the coil config of my HC. (quad .7 ohm coils).
we didn't get it metered, but there is no way my HC could even pretend to keep up with that L7.
And, in another enclosure his L7's were in sealed boxes, in the back of a mitsu 3000GT and his 1 15 was still wasting my HC and the HC was ported.
you all are right about motor strength because my friend had 2 12" l7s all profesinally installed it was an good install an he had an 1400w mmatts amp an he blew 3 subs in 3 months. so he sold it all for 1500 bux whoever bought that lost there f**** mind
some of those subs are good... but if u want great u need to purchase the 15" Eclipse Pro Series... they handle well over 2000 pure watts... not sony or jensen type watts... these subs have 4 voice coils and weigh around 75-80 lbs.... these put out amazing bass and can be handled only by a few... play with caution...LOL

ok so right now im looking at the D2, XXX brahma and the l7. out of those, since people agree that they are the loudest, which will be the cleanest? ive heard the xxx and brahma. i think that the brahma was louder and cleaner than the xxx, but it was in a room. so what of those is cleanest?
