So I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport
Speakers : 2 4x6 Alpine SPS-4629 2-Way up front on either side of the dash
Rollbar : 2 Boston Rally RX57DIN 2-Way 5.25"
HeadUnit : Sony 52x4 Chan Reciever (Discontinuted model...pics up later)
AMP : 700w Boss 2 Chan, 2ohm Stable
Subs : 2 10" Kicker CompVRs
Box : Custom QLogic Sealed box
[ Speaker Questions ]
1. Im looking to replace my Alpine 4x6 speakers for something a bit more powerful, and maybe even my Bostons. Any suggestions / comparisions would be awesome.
2. Im looking to add some tweeters or possibly 6x9s to my car and was looking for any install ideas. The only one Ive had so far is to sink the tweeters into the area above the dash vents, and just wire them to my HU, and switch my new speakers over to my new amp I have no clue as to what / how to mount some 6x9s, as my subs take up nearly the entire cargo space in the back, and the amp is snug under the seat. Any suggestions are welcome here!
3. For the mean time, I have both sets of speakers hooked up to my HU which runs 52x4, but the alpines are capable of running @ 80 watts / 20w rms and the bostons at 140watts peak / 70w rms. So obviously there's some power to be had there...My AMP runs @ 350w/2 chan with my 2 300w CVRs hooked up to it, if I were to hook any of the speakers up to it too, would this be better/worse/not possible?
