I have a JL sub hooked up to my bose system using a line out converter but there seems to be something wrong with it? I was wondering what might be the problem. THere is signal going to the speaker but even with my 240 watt amp bridged into one channel and pushed to max gain it still doesn't hit like it should. it there something wrong with using a line out converter because i had a store install it for me? What could be the problem? Please Help!!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

you have to use a line out converter to install a system to a factory radio because there would be no RCA outputs...the problem sounds like it is either the amp or the line out converter, the sub is fine, but eventually that can damage a sub so u might wanna get it checked out!

is there any other for of installation that I could use to make this sound better? I took it to tech places and all they told me was that I needed a new head unit but I am so skeptical because there has to be some way that you can hook a sub up to the bose system?! What do you think of taking off the line out converter and using the speaker level inputs on my amp and then just connection the amp directly to the speaker wires to the back speaker.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Your problem is that factory head units put out no output voltage. I bought a line driver and it kinda fixed the prob, the best thing to do is ditch the factory stuff. After i got rid of my factory stuff the spl went up and ther sq went up. buy a new headunit, buy new speakers and amp everything. OEM stuff is not any good..
