i'm not really into audio sytems but i'm planning to get a new stereo and cd changer and speakers for my 96 nissan altima. just wanna know if i have to have the same brands for the changer and the stereo and the speakers. what are the things i should consider in buyin a changer and stereo? tnx guys!

there is no need to carry the same name brand componets in your car unless you have a preference toward one particular brand...good luck

The stereo and the CD changer dont necessarily need to be the same brand. If they are not you need an adapter, which I wouldnt recommend. As for what to look for in a changer well disc compacity and disc naming are usually the most important. Depending on where you want to place the changer size might matter as well as available mounting ways. As for your speakers, it just depends on how much you wanna spend and what you like. Good luck!
