Have a little dilemna with a couple of S12L7 subs that a customer will be bringing us. He has himself a real pain in the butt car to work with for a sub box. It is a older 240sx sedan. Any box of reasonable size will not fit as one box, thus it must be built as separate boxes that bolt together to get them into the trunk. My main issue is I need to build this as a mono box design with one or two slot ports to fire through the rear deck. The box has 2.0 cu.ft. of space in the spare tire well (already glassed) and now will need a combination of boxes to go on top of it. I hate boxes like this, they are a real pain.

I am not a Kicker dealer and the customer has not brought me the subs yet, the Kicker dealer does not build boxes and will not give him any helpful info. I have a minimum of 4.0 cu.ft. to play with up to a max of about 6.0 cu.ft. Any one with some info on a mono box configuration for two of these subs, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys, I had the basic info already but it does not cover what I need. As far as your suggestions Polecat, long ago considered and thrown out due to the $ the customer wants to spend, the very limited mounting area to get an huge enclosure into this vehicle and the fact that once one side is ine, the other cannot go in as it has no room to manoever it's way into place. Thanks again for your input, not sure if you know the car but it is worse for a huge big bastard box than older Ford Mustang sedans.

mustang sedan? they are coupes. i you are talking about the 95-04 trunks then yes it is a bastard to get in

Exactly what I am talking about, grrrrr. I hate these vehicles, they are a total waste of time to put something big into. Try putting a 5.0 cu.ft. box into one of those vehicles, not an easy task by any means.
