You should see what it does to the water. At full speed the white water comes right about to the top of the flight deck at the stern. The whole ship shakes when they have to slow down quick from the screws churning all that water underneath. Its freggin crazay.

i was watching a thing on the discovery channel that was like a tag along documentary on an air craft carrier. they are amazing things. iirc they have to cut power like 14 miles out from where they want to stop. it is insane. they have enough supplies on board to stay out for a few years, i think about 3, if called into duty. craziness.

Sorry, I was remembering incorrectly, it comes up the the fan tail. Dont have a vid but I have a pic of one during sea trials haulin *** while turning. Bet ya didnt know 85,000 tons could turn like this eh.
