Kicker KX 600.1???

I am considering purchasing the KX 600.1 for my 2 Comp VR 10's. I currently have a Kicker DX350 on them in the trunk of my 2002 Mustang GT. Is this amp too much power for these speakers and is it the best choice? I had an MTX 801D for about a month and then it fried. I have heard that the Kicker will push more power and draw less current then the MTX. Is this true? I have had excellent service and performance out of all my Kicker products and think very highly of them. I am very fond of Kicker and am more in likely going to purchase this model but is it the right one for my setup?

i personally wouldnt go with kicker because of reliability issues i have had with them. i have used a lot of fosgate power 550s, diamond d5 600.1, and a xtant 6.1 as far as amps that produce that kind of power, i would recomment any of those. i am sure that there are a lot more out there, but those ones i have personally used and would use again any day. by the way, i have used all 3 of those with the comp vr's. 600 watts is perfect for your setup, you should be just fine.

hmmmm, I see some conflict.

no conflict when you buy Kicker off an authorized dealer-

My 600.1 birthed at 731rms....solid amp, runs cool at 2 ohms, built in fan- does what its suppossed to and then some- it plain out knocks- just sold mine last week to a very lucky fellow

the DX350 is an older Class D design we did some time ago, the newer KX600.1 will keep the desired 2 ohm load and also have some features, and way more power than the DX350.

Most of our KX600'1 have birthsheets that show 700+ watts, as where the DX350 was maybe 400ish.

You keep the remote gain, have a built in SSF, and have a built in fan.

I think you'll see a big improvement over the DX350.

PS and thanks for the props from the original poster. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
