Kicker enclosure

I just got my 2 15" kicker L7's (new model) and i am getting ready to start on my enclosure. I was just wandering if the speakers should face up towards the roof or out towards the back. By the way i have a 98 ford explorer 4 dr. Any other suggestions of how i should mount them to get the best performance would help too.......

most SUV's tend to be louder with them facing the rear door...

would both subs and both ports facing the roof sound good? let me know if u need a pic to show u what im talking about...BTW i found a new program that helps me with box building...it's called sketchup

well, denim is mod @ an explorer website, and i think that would expose him to more explorer oriented setups.

if he says it's true it's probably got some backing behind it. I'd make a box w/ port facing back, and subs facing up.. if it doesn't work then just point the subs back and the port facing up.. and if that *****, make a new box.

I would personally try a CRX style box first. If that dosent work, then make one with subs and ports on the same side, then try them in different alignments. But I'm guessing that the CRX style would have some better numbers.

Guy i know has a Envoy- With a 15" L7, he faces it out towards the rear hatch. it bumps pretty **** hard. I would face it out the rear.
