Kenwood CD problem

I recently purchased a Kenwood MP925 CD receiver. After installing it and finally figuring out how to get rid of the demo mode, I find I can't play any CD's. Every CD I load gives an error "TOC error" when it loads. I've probably tried 10 CD's that I know work in my other CD players all with the same results. I am not using a CD changer at this time. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you much!

I've never had that error with a Kenwood yet ... but, does the manual give any insight at all ?

Yes, it says in the manual that the "CD is quite dirty or the CD is not seated in the magazine correctly". I don't have a changer, so I don't think the magazine issue applies to me. And like I said, I tried with 10 CD's or so, all with the same error - so I don't think that it is that they are dirty.
