Just bought Orion H2

Hi everyone I had a few questions. First of all, do you think $225 is a good deal for a 12" H2 dual 4 ohm shipped. Second, what type of amp should I get for under 300 shipped, I was looking at PG Tantrum 1200. How big of a sealed box should I build? I only want a sealed box. And how do you think it will compare to the RE HC that I had with hifonics amp? I was really leaning towards SQ but this seemed like a better deal compared to an IDMax. I hope it will have good SQ. Please tell me what you think.. thanks.

iam confused, it says u bought it in the title, but in hte msg i dont know if you actually did =p

anyways, 225 for an H2 shipped sounds pretty good. for the box, look at their site and it should recommend how big the box should be. a pg 1200.1 should be fine. if i remember correctly the h2 can take 2000rms, n the tantrum believe pushes out at least 1300rms so that should be enough to get it moving.

hmmm, id max would have been another good choice, but i dont know if the HC would be in the same level as the 2 subs mentioned before. maybe the XXX would be but not the HC.

go H2 and tell us how much u like it :thumbsup

I agree with the "why the sealed box" part but 3ft^3 is to big for a 12"!

If it's brand new $225 is a pretty good price. The cheapest I've seen them new is $250 plus shipping

does anybody have their H2 in a sealed box on here? I am going to start my system this weekend, why are most of you against the sealed? Thats what i was going to try first before going ported. Sorry for stealing your thread.

its ok, but i cant seem to find orions website to find box specs. I bought it used off ebay. Sub and shipping comes out to a total of $225.

The website says for 1500 watt sealed enclosure it recomments 1 cu. ft. Isnt that kinda small?

nope these subs live off small enclosures. Subzone custom built a box for these subs and its only 1 cu ft
