Just an all around good amp

Hey, Im just startin my car and I have 2 1200 watt subs. What would be a good "all-round" amp(s) to power them and including some mids?

PPI, JBL BP1200.1, Fosgates BD1000, Phoenix Gold for the subs and you can pick from any of the above for comps as well.

As far as mids go..For decent quality that arent too spendy Infinity Kappas are nice, Polk, CDT is a bit nicer but not too pricey..Your best bet would be to go and listen to several sets within your price range and find the one you like best..It pretty much that simple.

It is a competition. I would recomend the JBL 1200.1.

In this case mykeys was talking about component speakers, sometimes referred to as seperates. The type that have the tweeter and woofer as seperate units with an inline crossover in between. As opposed to co-axials that have the woofer and tweeter (or tweeters) all in one speaker. Virtually all "comps" when set up right will sound better than even the best coaxials.
