About same price, same RMS. Which do you think would be the best application to a small sealed enclosure to the JL12W6V2? For my Explorer. Posted in several forums on new Utopias and coaxials with Zapco 1000.1 for front four speakers and Eclipse 8053.

Which amp would be better situated for me in this system layout? I love short, tight , accurate bass.PLEASE HELP.....tomorrow making final decsion because Friday is the install!

Both are very good amps and both will definitely be capable of pushing the sub. One thing to really consider is the ohm configuration on your sub. I know the Zapco only puts out full power at 2 ohms, JL on the other hand will put out full power at 1.5-4 ohms. JL will pull more amperage at low voltage and will not provide extra power at high voltage. Zapco could concievably put out less than 500 (although, I believe it is very underrated) at low voltage loads but could put out more at high voltage loads. Either way, you can't really go wrong. Short, tight, accurate bass, by the way, is more a product of sub type/rms output than amp brand.

You know what... that was my next step.

Anyway I just walked in the door, and all my decisions are done and even have the sub, subox and amp in my living room as we speak!

All the other equipment is at the dealer/installer and will be in by this friday!

I'm posting a new thread with exactly whats in my whole system and how much it set me back.
