I wouldnt go quite that far..........

JL has won more IASCA, USAC, and DbDrag, competitions than many manufacturers for a reason.

With the amount of power you have, and in the right enclosure, you should have no trouble getting those subs to perform quite well.

Personally I think JL has a good quality product, the voice coils are long and the cooling system works well. The cones do have a lot of flexibility which is the only real downfall

Havent really encountered the cone flexibility part much here. Allthough, I have heard a few W3 owners say this, but they really have no major complaints. I have used the W0's W1's and W6's and never had a problem.

One would think that cone flexibility could easily be over come with a tightly sealed enclosure with a little dampening material.

Yea i wouldnt say **** about JL

OF all the subs ive owned (a whole lot from radioshack to fosgates) The JL's definatly own them all

Once people start putting up some nice showcars with JL w7's ohh will you here about it

Ever heard of Distortionless subs?

For the most part that is what w7's are

they put 10000 on each voice coil..only then did it distort.

Amazingly designed subs, they dont seem as loud as they are just because they arent making high clicking noices ext. If you've owned fosgates, then u know distortion. So once the idea of distortionless subs come to tact, things will change.

W7's dont sound very loud, but when they blow your stock glass with 2 of em runnion on 2 jl 1000.1 amps then you'll see

JL's rock period. W3's will sound excellent with 1000 watts RMS...or 500 watts...or 1500 watts. You get the picture. JL's have the best SQ and good SPL. Don't be afraid to pour on the power. JL rates their sub's power level different than most companies by giving you continuos rates at 8 hours of use. Give em a cubic foot per speaker in a sealed box (don't forget your bracing boards inside it to keep the flexing to a minimum...it'll need em), turn up the gain and stay outside the vehicle. I, myself, would like to have my hearing at age 30.

I wouldnt say JL audio is the best out there, but the dude that said they ****** has issues. I feel the W6's are over rated, the W3's are nice and the W0's actually make a pretty good sub for home stereos. I swapped out some old W6's i had in my civic for MMATS Pro's and im very satisfied with the result... but the old w6's are still bumping, and still durable as !@#$.

the 12w6s are great.i have 3 in my integra. nothing wrong with jl. they make some of the best subs. the w7s are fricken awesome. JL will be on top for a long time

i thought that W7's were only in 3 ohm SVC, how did they put 10k on eahc coil in a SVC sub?

also, is the clicking your talkin about like what the new punch HX2's do, it goes like tick tick tick tick when the bass is hitting, at least you cant hear it unless you turn the box and face it through his seats

jl's are over priced overrated not saying there a bad sub. but they don't touch eclipse. (example friend bought two jl w7's and blew them both to hell with only a 500 rms watt amp) i mean i use a jl audio amp but like i said i can buy two power acoustik mofos and never dream of blowing them (altho powering them won't be cheap) Jl makes goods stuff and all but there bye no means the best (as for the competiton part looks who there competeting against really aren't any more sub legends like there used to be exp ( lanzar 1 ohm dual voice coil 1k rms that is old school)
