JBL GTi series subs?

How come none of you guys like or ever mention the JBL GTi series subs? My dad and I both think that they sound better than the w7's and i am strongly considering to get one. Anyone have any insight on those subs?

I thought about getting them but I wasn't overly impressed with the last setup I heard with them. They guy didn't crank them so maybe they are better at high volumes but I know I will probably get beef for this but the 12" Solo X sounded better to me than the GTI. Mind you both were at low volumes and i think the GTI was sealed and the X was ported. Another thing that buged me about them is the power rating. The RMS is like 600 and the peak is like 3400 (pulling numbers out of my butt so they maybe wrong but you get the idea) That made me think twise about wanting them. I believe they also lean a little more toward SQ then SPL and since I am a bass head I wasn't interested...

thanx for your insight, but regarding the 600 rms, they can easily handle way more power. I heard an NSX once with the JBL power series (the series below GTi) sub being pushed by 1000 watts and it sounded sweet.
