jbl bp600.1 or pg t300.2 for ported 12"

i'm planning on replacing my setup (2 polk subs in sealed box with lightning audio amp) with a better amp and either two 10's or one 12" in a ported box.

i noticed that the bp600.1 and t300.2 have similar specs, but the rating at 2ohms isn't noted for the t300.2...is the pg amp a cheap alternative to the jbl? if they don't compare, could someone suggest an amp for me? (budget is around 150 or less for an amp).

a bit off topic, i hope no one minds...

i plan to spend about 150 for a subwoofer in a ported box (i know i'm really cheap, but if there's something better for a little more i might save a little longer). could someone also suggest a good subwoofer that fits this budget, and could someone give an estimate on how much it would be to build a box?

For the sub, Phoenix Gold Titanium ... 15Ds are $125 shipped on eBay ... Everything else is cheaper ...
As far as amps go, the T300.2 doesn't make very much more @ 2 ohms than it does @ 4 ohms. If you plan on getting a Tantrum, just run it @ 4 ohms ... It's sort of like running the JBL @ 1 ohm, you get a little extra power at the cost of increased current draw resulting in increased heat resulting in a shorter life. Also, increased distortion, too ...

are there any amps that you would suggest i check out? for one sub, should i be looking at 2 channel or a mono amp? my budget is 150.

and if i'm only getting one 15", i should probably get the dvc model, right?

have you ever bought from that seller before? i thought it might be better just to get it at discountave.net (http://store.yahoo.com/discave/tiphgo15tise1.html) ...at least it's a website so that if i needed to, i could probably return it easier. comes out to the same price anyway (i think discountave.net is $5 cheaper). i guess i should check the reviews for that place next.
