JBL BP1200.1 PEAK values, anyone?

So far, I've found that this amp runs at 600W RMS at 4 ohms and 1200W RMS at both 1 and 2 ohms. Does anyone know what the PEAK values are for this amp at the different ohm levels?

I'm not sure, although I used to have the amp. He's right for the most part, why do you want to know its peak levels?

peak is 20,000 watts at .5 ohms.

Ok, Ok. No, I'm not looking for the peak values for bragging rights or anything. I've just come across a few people and websites that say these values are PEAK values, not RMS values. I've never seen a website that lists both RMS and PEAK values for this amp. I'm in the process of changing my system setup to a single subwoofer and I'd hate to get these values wrong and blow a sub.

The values you have are RMS values. Peak values are generally 2x the RMS values.

As for a subwoofer, I'd say look for something that has dual 4 coils and doesn't have a problem with about 1kw rms. The RE SX sounds like a good candidate.
