Is This Sub Enclosure Good For My Explorer???

Got a new Q-Logic sealed enclosure and it's a 10" not a 12" and I have to start my install tomorrow! The place I got it from and I swore it was a 12". Thats because the new ones have that new rubber ring that makes it look larger in diameter.

Anyway, this enclosure I found online at Qlogic is wider but thinner. It is made to accomodate the rear of a third row seat as in my Explorer. It fits perfect, but does the fact of the box being thin and wide take away quality as opposed to the more square boxes? They both would have the 1.25 cu. ft. needed as per JL's specs for the JL12W6V2. It's just a matter of thin and wide , to square.

The JL12W6V2's mounting depth by the way is 7.6 inches. Half way up the box according to those numbers, it should be close as far as clearance goes behind the sub.

This is the specs for the sub enclosure..................

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF WIDER AND THINNER MEANS LESS QUALITY AND BAS OR WHAT? REMEBER, BOTH BOXES, ALTHOUGH DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS HAVE THE SAME EXACT CUBIC FEET.

THANX AGAIN...PeteNYC

if you've already bought the Q-logic, go in and re-seal all the corners, put another layer or two of Liquid Nails to seal it up real nice.

if you haven't...then don't buy it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
