Yes, the PHD-2 is capable of exactly what it is rated for... And then some.

good amp for db drags but i dont know how it sounds otherwise....i just hear them in chris norris's spl vehicles....when i think of monster amps i think of us amps....i have a few (selling them cause they are battery hogs) but in a reactive load i know of no other amp line that simply will put out 40% more than rated power into its reactive load..and dbforme if you want a us 400 i have a never before hooked up one i'll sell for alot less than 650, if you ever heard of oz subs i had this amps twin (i had 2) hooked up 2 6 dvc 300L's. it bottomed out the subs, a memphis 1000d, a dei 1100 d and a "2000 watt" class d audiobahn couldnt do it (i tried it) it is just power hungry and is sever over kill to my application. and just to let you know brad waits (think i spelled his name right) old stroker van used these very amps
