is this a good system?

yeah i have a 2002 eclipse and am planning on sending in the order for the following system by this weekend. i spent a lot of time and research but i'm not a real expert like many of you, so please let me know what you think of this set-up and if i need anything else.

amp (i also have the amp install kit)= Rockford Fosgate POWER Series class D 1001bd mono amp (1000watts rms mono into 2ohm load) retail $800 paid $300

sub= this i debated for a while, between going with (2) rockford HX2 12'' subs 500watts rms each or (1) Rockford POWER HX2 12'' sub 1000watts rms. i decided to go with the (1) POWER HX2 12'' because of 2 reasons-my car is an eclipse and has a small trunk so 1 sub would fit much better, and the other is that i think its better to go quality over quantity, or am i wrong? Retail $500 paid $200

capacitor= Rockford POWER 1-farad capacitor retail $200 paid $90

will this sound good or did i get the wrong set up? any comments on how this will sound i greatly appreciate. thanx. Jeff.

well u definetly are gettin a good deal on the amp. For the sub, it will definetly hit hard, but i highly suggest porting it. Also, this sub isnt exactly the greatest sounding sub, SPL is there, just not the SQ. i would go with a 12" RE SX or XXX or something. and u dont need to cap so save ur money.
