Is the Kicker KX1200.1 more reliable then BX1500D?

I have just received my Hifonics BX1500D and after reading the posts on here about the Hifonics amps shutting down, I am honestly contemplating sending this amp back to Sounddomain and trading it out for a Kicker KX1200.1. Both amps seem to have the same power...I'm just worried about powering my L5 10's at 1 ohm and having the BX1500D shutting down?

Any input on the KX?

the kx puts out alot of power but personally i think its overpriced. The brutus is a very good amp imo, make sure you got the right fuses for 1ohm operation (they should be dual 80amps i believe)

I don't feel the kickers are overpriced. They are awesome amps, and if i had the money i would get mine back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. I havn't heard of too many instances of it shutting down, but if it does doesn't sounddomain have a warranty on it? just be careful and set everything correctly.

check on ebay, the 2003 kx1200s have gone down in price since the 2004's have come out

if an amp shuts down, either the Brtus or Kicker ( I speak highly of the Kicker by the way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif) I would look at wiring, voltage or heat to be an issue....
