Is My System Phat???

I just built a sytem for my restored 64 Ford Farlane Stationwagon. I have an Alpine CD player with Mp3 playback, A legacy 1000 watt 2 channel amp and 2 Volfenhag 12" Subs running off the amp, An Earthwauke Equalizer and two Earthquake 6x9s and two 1' JL Audio Evolution XR Tweeters. It isn't up and running yet but I am in the process of installation. Is it gonna be a good system?

the earthquake EQ is nice so are the 6x9

Well first of all, the actual question is moot. I'm sorry but you bought the equipment. If you were not able to try it or get an honest review about it first, you honestly get what you pay for. Just a little research is all it takes; so in asking will it sound good; you should already know your answer. Besides, what sounds good to you may not sound as good to someone else- there are too many variables to take into consideration with a question so general. Not only product, but also, vehicle, install, power, frequency cut offs, positioning, dampening, location, etc.

Kinda look similar dont they.....

We all know the capabilities of Pyramid arent so impressive.

I would also question the Legacy Amp a little, I have wintessed and saw several cases where they have dont more damage than good to a system. Really though, as long as you keep the Legacy at or above 4 ohms and mind the gains, you shouldnt have too much trouble.

The rest of the system is well thought out and quite capable of sounding excellent, again, depending on the factors above though.

One thing I picked up right away is that even the best speaker in a poor install can sound bad, yet a lower end speaker in it's proper install can sound pristine...

I know the subs and amp are far from the best but the subs were only 65 bucks each and the amp was 90 bucks.

and what ever kind of sub if you want to call it a sub i would call it a good watse of money you mite hit around 2.6 db's off that shit ?

buy some good stuff its well worth it

At least you didnt get stung too bad then.... I think all of us at one point will purchase a less than "market quality" (if you will) product just to see what happens- which is cool; sometimes a nice surprise can be in order. Otherwise, as long as you know that you get exactly what you pay for.

ya i am not a fan of lanzar but JL is something i like. might not be to bad as long as u didnt pay to much for the subs and amp.
