is knukonceptz.com necessary?

I am getting everything installed as soon as my magnum 15'' gets here. My question is, do I really need to buy my own wiring from a company such as knukonceptz.com? The shop said they would install everything, deck, comps, speak amp, sub, box, sub amp and they have all the wiring harnesses and everything needed he said, all this for $200. Now I have absolutely no idea how to do this so please don't tell me to try it myself and I don't really have the time to learn. Should I just pay the 200 bills for everything or get all the wiring and then maybe decrease the price to perhaps $150?

Most of the time install shops don't like you to bring your own wires etc, because they make money "selling" that stuff to you. Plus if you don't know how to install things, and you don't want to try to learn, how will you know what to buy?

If you're getting everything installed for $200 you are getting a darn good deal. Here, which is apparently pretty cheap, you'd pay:

$40 for HU

$60 for Components

$60 for amp

$60 for amp

$40 or so for sub if you already have box

$90 for prefab box + install

$150-200 for custom box + install

None of that includes wires so you're probably looking at $60 or so for that. I would say if you absolutely don't want to do it yourself and you've got the money go for it. You probably wont find much better prices.

yea the shop is giving me a pretty good deal so i'll just let them do everything for 200. i don't think i would save much by buying all the wires first. thnx guys.

Sounds good. A shop wired and installed my amp for 80 bucks (dont laugh my mom made me get it "professionaly" done so I wouldn't hurt the car)

yea i'm in the same boat, my parents really want me to get it done professionally and i agree basically but still...it would be nice to learn how to do this **** someday. oh well.

check out sumone's thread, above. i'm not trying to sway your opinion, but it can be sobering to see just how fouled up things can become when you let someone have their way with your car.

"professional" is a relative word.
