Is it possible to wire a dvc 4 ohm to run at 4ohm...

rather than 2 or 8? Because my friend is buyin my amp off of me and his sub is dual 4 ohm. My amp is 4ohm mono stable, so I had a dual 2 ohm wired in series. But i need to know cause his sub is dual 4ohm. Wow that sounds repetive.

what does 2 ohm stereo stable mean? Can it give out the right power at 2 ohms?

stereo meaning 2... mono meaning one... means it's stable at 2 ohms... on each channel.... it's stable at 4 ohms in stereo OR bridged in mono

don't bridge it... just put it on one channel... if you HAVE to have it hooked up with that sub and that amp at the moment...

so it will only be putting 350 W out of a total 600 into the sub? Cause its 350X2. Well he might need to power some of his speakers anyways. so...

yeah but u can't run interior speakers off the other channel... because it will be 350w @ 2 ohms as well... plus... it'll be set for lowpass signal just like the sub...

you actually can wire the sub at 4ohms, you just run a set of wires from the amp to one 4 ohm voice coil, and then another set of wires from the same channel or a different channel to the other 4 ohm voice coil, and WAHLAH... you have a 4 ohm load from a dvc 4ohm sub...

and how is that? thats like saying that if you run two SVC 4 ohm subs out of one channel on an amp, the amp would read a 2 ohm load..... so how is that possible???

because it's 2 4 ohm subs wired in parallel... if you wire the wires 2gether **same channel** then it will either be a 2 ohm ... or an 8 ohm load...

It's exactly like saying that.....becaue that is exactly what will happen.

ok then that may be so, but say you have a 2 channel amp, and you have a dvc 4 ohm sub, ok.... say you run a coil on each channel... so that would be a total of 4 ohms..... correct, so that is how you wire a dvc to 4 ohms...

About the post that i said before, scratch that.... the amp "would" read 2 ohms, but the amp could only push out as much as it can at 4 ohms, becuz it is going into a 4 ohm application.. correct?
