Is it illegal to do donuts in a school parking lot

we do some nasty burnouts at our school tho at the end of the parkinglot..no one cares

i've done snow donuts in my truck on just about every unplowed empty parking lot on fort drum. i didn't hang around for anyone to complain and call up the MPs.

doesnt matter to me. everyone in the school knows i have a system anyways from the first day when i turned it off down the road from the school, pulled in and the kid behind me pulled in what was like what you got in there, so i showed him (didnt turn it on, showed him) then as i came out from class there was a group around my truck of everyone wanting to hear it.
so now i just drive my lifted ram on 36's

no, ive worked for everything i have. my dakota cost me $10k, my ram cost me $11k when it was stock. now its lifted and whatnot. i use it to look around my parents land and maintain it. its my "work truck". (pullin down trees, gettin over trees, gettin back on the land where i got to go, and itll pull a good dounut or 2 in soft mud) im no rich kid. i use it as a source of income. dakotas my daily driver

I guess it would be dependent on the traffic codes in effect in the state in which it happens. As there are 50 different states there are likely 50 (or more) different variants on what might possibly happen in a case such as this. In Louisiana it wouldn't be anything more than trespassing as violations of the Motor Vehicle Code are not enforceable in a private parking lot regardless of whether that parking lot is controlled/maintained/paid for/whatever by a public entity (such as a public school) or otherwise.

Of course its illegal. It falls under Wreckless driving. Possibly even wreckless endangerment. Not sure of the exact qualifications for wreckless endangerment but Im sure an ******* cop would still try anways.

Wreckless operation is what we should all aspire to accomplishing. I'm not certain whether there is even such a thing as wreckless endangerment. Reckless operation and/or endangerment, however, is a completely different thing. Though still (see above) it is inapplicable in a parking lot in some locales.
