Is a JL 1000/1 a good trade for a vr2000d

I am currently running 1000/1 with a 13w7. My 13w7 had an accident. The cone got a hole in it and I patched it up but i want to get a new one or a 12 or 15 xxx.

My friend said he would trade me his vr2000d for my 1000/1.

Is it a good trade?

Depends on how old they both are. If the 1000/1 is newer than the VR than hell no I wouldn't. Peace

I think that the JL amp is probably more expensive or close but that 2000D puts out 2 times the power.

I would seriously consider the trade if a few more people concur with me here.

Thx for the replies He says he didnt use it much. He just ran it in 1 comp then moved to the states and hasnt used it since then. Now he wants to build his system in his work car and that amp is too much he says. I have pushed mine for about 2 months already. ack i dont know...

oh but what i really want to get is an re setup . RE amp with the xxx.

Well go to http://www.reaudio.com and grab their phone number. Ask them when their amps come out. You can order your XXX, then sell your JL 1000/1 once the RE 36.1 comes out.

You can use the 1000/1 in the mean time.

the vr2000d and a 15" XXX should be pretty wild,
