OK, so here is a little background to help explain my question. Hello everyone btw...
My truck is an F150. I am installing an Infinity Reference 6x8 in each door, replacing the factory front tweeters with Infinity Reference 3/4" tweeters, and installing Infinity 3/4" tweeters in the rear doors. My subwoofer isn't an issue. I now have 8 speakers to power.
What I am planning is to power the 6x8s with an additional amplifier, and to power the tweeters with the factory amplifier door channels. I have read that the factory amp puts out about 15w per channel, which seems sufficient for the tweeters. The tweeters all came with inline filters.
Here's the rub. Whether I use a line out converter or the high level input, I will need to tap into my rear door speaker lines. Can the factory rear channels be used to power the rear tweeters and send signal to the amplifier at the same time?
Thanks so much!
