I need a new phone and I was considering the iPhone. I haven't really liked either of my Droids...incredible and X....but maybe I've had the wrong ones.

Do most here really believe there is a better phone performance wise than the iPhone or is this another one of those "I can't afford that price, so I'll tell ppl its bad for the money" or "everyone else likes it, so I hate it" type deals? My upgrade is like Oct 10th so I hope to get something around then.
