where would them lil box things get mounted? crossovers i think they are

You can get creative with that.. Mine are attached to the inside of the door panel.. I removed some foam and put the crossover in it's place..

You really just don't want it to get wet or be able to move around...

thanks man! i was thinkin that would have been a decent spot but water does get in there sometimes so is that the best spot?

m etra makes them i actually ordered some today because i use them from time to time. if u dont want to buy them cut luon to 6x9 size then resin so its waterproof....

Indeed you can trace out the opening with a piece of paper and cut that out with mdf than cut the 6.5 hole in that.

It's not the best spot.. the best spot would be somewhere more accessible and inside your car like your trunk..

but if you don't want to run all of that extra wiring you can put them in the doors..

I guess the amount of water that can get in your door depends on your car.. It could be a problem for you.. Hasn't been for me..
