Hey guys, well after much B.S. and waiting over 3 weeks, filing two complaints, and much waiting, i finally received my eclipse 8053 with balanced out adapter. This thing is amazing...like new mint condition, and the balanced out adapter is BRAND new w/ original box, materials, and remote all for $350 shipped. Anyways, after some confusion...then realizing all the RCA's i'd need...yeah. It's in, and it's amazing. So, all in all i used 9 PAIRS of rca's...count them 9 PAIRS!!!! Yeah, the 16v pre-outs have a pair for pos. and a pair for neg. of front, rear, and subwoofer. Those 6 pairs go to the balanced out adapter. Then the balanced out adapter outputs 3 pairs, one each for front, rear, and subwoofer. Well, i bought a bunch of gold plated rca's ends and cut up some existing rca's and made 6pairs of 4ft. rca's myself. WOOT WOOT. Anyway, the sound is exquisite and believe me i haven't even messed with all the settings yet. Also, the unit itself looks great...especially at night! So, i'm happy with it and my sound. I am now FINALLY done with my system...i'm about topped out in each category...it's great! peace

p.s.- my competition box is still in, so my subs are completely un-hooked. I can't wait to i get my daily box back in and EVERYTHING up and running at the same time. Can't wait to hear the overall sound. WOOT

Congrats. I have an 8053, but I haven't used a balanced line adaptor(yet). I am very happy with how my system sounds with everything set flat.
Don't bother...

Honestly - it isn't worth your time. It's just a fluff option, and isn't needed for anything. If you have noise running unbalanced, going balanced is just patching a problem, not fixing it (and may not fix it anyway!)

Sadly enough - my system got a quieter noise floor by going from a 8053 to an old RF 8240ti unit... But the Eclipse was sexier. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well, i love it...and since i got it all for $350, i'll take the balanced out since it came with it. peace

oh, and p.s.

other than SPL competition...i am done. I *near* topped out IMO...i don't need like $3000 components or ****...but i have top of the line from respectable companies on most ****...and i'm completely happy.
