Install For A Vette

Doing a install in a customers 84 corvette (both of them). older guy mid 60's

he currently got hosed for 400 bucks for a cheap jvc headunit, a boss amp and and some boss 6x9's.

positive is tapped into the 12volt supply for the fuse panel and and the ground wire is wrapped around the seat track.

FYI don't let flea markets install your ish.

he wants sound quality with alittle low end and bright mids and highs

so heres what what i suggested to the guy.

(he already bought the 100.2 from me so he wants to use that) we will run it in tri-mode seen here go to page 6

Ive got one Diamond 8" D3 in my 86 vette in a tiny ported box tuned to 34 hz. I replaced all the bose shit with CDT EF 6.5's w/ 1" softdome tweeters. For amps it has a Memphis 100x2 for the highs and a Kicker KX 150 for the sub. It sounds pretty nice for a SQ setup, however when I start my car the ANSA exhaust drowns most of the low end out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I used to have a 15" Atomic APX shown below in my sig in the back of it powered by a Visonik 4000xd and a couple of Optima batteries doing 149's ... but that shit was too heavy to race my car with down at the track.

ya the only down side to this car is i got to re-wire a good part of the factory harness
