Inline Fuse?

Ok for my wireing on my system... the inline fuse for my old system is like such a smaller watt amp then ill need. BUT how big of a fuse do I need for my Hifonics Brutus BX1000?

so i'm assuming you mean its a lower amperage fuse, although, you only need as big of a fuse as the amp has, which should be 60 amps...

Hey, just to make sure... someone else told me I should use 80 Amp for this.....

How do I actually know how much Amp for the fuse I actually need?

Im not doubting you or anything its just confusing that two differnt people said two differnt things? you know?

i have a 80a fuse in a run of 4ga for my BX1500D and it has been working fine

What i'm saying is, as long as the fuse is same or a big bigger than the one thats in the chassis of the amp (should be 60 amp), you are fine, but i wouldn't recomend goings way over...

my fuse is 80a and my amp has 2 60s... no problem for 4 months
