image dynamics or focal?

im looking for a good sq component that handle a serious A$$ wooping. I listen to metal so naturally im looking for strong mid-bass and warm highs(not too bright). From from what i've heard the image dynamics have a killer american sound and the focals have a strong euopean sound(echoey, strong highs, no mid bass) to run high end components your gonna have to reconfigure you doors to make these speakers fit in the door-soo what im trying to say is what is the best component out there good for what i listen to ? I know it's mostly prefrence but what do ya recommend. im looking to power these components with a sound stream van gough series 125+4 amp

id chameleons i hear are good. focal i hear is good too. im choosing between either jl xr or id chameleons right now. of those two, id pick id.

For me Focals are just like you said..TOO EUROPEAN...I think as long as we have ID,Dynaudio,MB Quart, Diamond Audio,Alpine and a few others High enders,we don't need Focal.

I have always judged focal as just another face in the crowd, nothing about them fills a need that we as Car audio fans don't already have.....Sorry Focal fans!!!

huh? Since when do people need another option. Focal's IMO rock, and since when re they TOO EUROPEAN? wow, aren't Alpine too Japanese if you think that small minded?

from your choices i'd go with the chameleons they sound awesome(hope you have a sub capable to match that kind of performance) i tested them out also with some rainbow pro's i went with the rainbows.
