If you had the money: XXX or Magnum D2

Hello,

I have a question that I really need answered. If you had the money would you get a XXX with a BX1500d or a Magnum D2 with a BP1200.1? I already have a BP1200.1 and was thinking to get the XXX and possibly trading/selling my BP1200.1 for a BX1500d. Do you think I should stick with my BP1200.1 and get the Mag D2 or go with the XXX and get the BX1500d. I really like the looks of the XXX and all RE woofers. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I read the Mag is more efficient. Also, what is this XLB2 motor that the XXX uses and what are its advantages? What motor does the Mag use? Also, would I tell a difference in the way the 2 sounded? The XXX would have 300 more watts going to it.

Please help me out.

XXX15 and bx1500d, i was settled on this setup, after a very long comparison to nearly every super sub i could think of. I was going for a pair of each.

I finally made up my mind and went with a pair of Eclipse TI15 and an orion 2500d. Cost me less than the pair of 15XXX and two bx1500d. will save me some room in my ride also.

Id go with the XXX and a Tsunami 1800t amp but thats because i just bought that sub and amp from MD_ and i hear a lot better things about RE

Ye I really like the XXX and it doesn't cost much more for the XXX12 than the Mag. Seems like mst people port their subs but I thnk i'll just gonna the XXX in my 1.2ft^3 sealed box. I think that should do fine. If not I will have to build my own box. I always wanted to try a ported box.

Seems like alot of u posters have/want the RE SX. What is so great abou the SX. I just heard it gets louder than the XXX at 1200w and it is 60spl/40sq. Isn't the Mag an all-around better sub than the SX also?

if i was going to go sealed i'm not sure. I've had RE subs before and they seem to like ported a lot more than sealed (as most subs do)..

i would go with the XXX just because of my experience w/ the quality of the subs, but the Magnum is nasty, and if i was short on room i'd go with the magnum sealed.

Hmm. I could always build my own box. I have a 1998 Dodge Neon and the trunk isnt huge but its a pretty decent size and the trunk is emtpy besides having my box in there.

i bet you have at least 5 cubes to work with back there.

I bet the XXX 15 would be happy in a 3.5 cube box tuned to 35hz. I had my HC in a 5.5 cube box tuned to 38 and it SLAMMED. RE specs out the box to be a little bit smaller than what i had my HC in, it would have been a lot cleaner in the smaller box too.

go to re's website http://www.respl.com and click on the tech button, i think it will point you in the right direction for boxes for each of their subs.

But.. right now i am thinking about getting 2 magnum 12"s and putting each of them in a big ass box w/ 800 watts per sub for fun... both of them look like badass subs, and it is going to be a tough decision, as the magnum will cost less and still sound incredible, but the xxx might have a little more output.

Hmm. Seems like I'll probably go with the XXX15. 1500 watts should be enough, even tho it has 1600w rms right? Also, I don't listen to rap, I listen to hardcore/emo-core/alternative (Stuff with alot of fast bassdrums). So the XXX should be good for that right?

i actually heard that the magnum was more responsive than the XXX, but the XXX was more accurate.
