FEATURED If money wasn't a concern.. 6.5 speaker selection?

Wow.. I learned some new info lol iv never heard of all these speakers and had no idea they get this expensive.

I figured you guys would suggest $300 type pairs and that would be top of the line stuff.. lol so upgrading my vette wont be as cheap as I thought.

Also sounds like kicker, sony alpine etc. are junk compared to this stuff 😬
Any name brand speaker is going to sound better than factory. You can get a pair of $75 Pioneer speakers and run them off an aftermarket radio, and the sound would be a lot better. It's all about what you are looking for. For me I have heard just about everything. For my dream system, I would pay $20,000 just for the audio equipment. However, I'm perfectly fine with a $2000 system.

"Wilson sources most of its drivers from Focal and ScanSpeak, using either modified stock drivers (eg, the MAXX2's two Focal carbon-fiber/paper composite woofers, one 10.5", one 13"), "remanufactured" drivers (eg, the MAXX2's titanium inverted-dome Focal 1" tweeter, which has an additional magnet and a Wilson-made backwave enclosure), or OEM codeveloped proprietary drivers (eg, the MAXX2's 7" hybrid midrange units, made by ScanSpeak of paper pulp and synthetic carbon fiber)"

fwiw, Wilson sells speakers that cost $850,000...

Id spend some money/funds on sealing those doors off to keep the road noise down and prob the floor boards too. Id get those crossovers out of the doors and put those under the front seats at the least so you have access to them to change tweeter settings and keep from rain moisture getting to them, and falling in the door card later on bouncing around and keep from damaging the crossovers

Great suggestion thank you.

So I picked up these ☺️ feel super solid. You guys think i should go with a better 4-way amp?

If so any suggestions for a nice one that wont break the bank.

Recap.. i want crisp clear sound. The skar amp and 15” sub put out sooo much bass(love it) so i think im good there.

My head unit is a sony and according to the reviews.. it was a pretty decent model to get and seems to do good as well.

chances, you'll be perfectly happy with the amps you have. There are better amps, but unless your vehicle is sound deadened, you won't really hear much of a difference to justify the expense.

I've had the opportunity to listen to some of the most outrageously priced sound systems. The only thing I have found is, they only sounded good with classical and natural voices. When listening to hip hop or rock, they sounded like crap. It was hard to tune them right.
