If Given unlimited budget....

I don't think you quite yet grasp what 170db is. There is no possible way you could sit in your car with 170db for over a very short amount of time. Shoot for 150 or high 40's, then you could possibly retain some SQ, but it would require quite a few subs with a whole lot ofpower.

Well, when you have a car like a supra, and you want to make it a car audio vehicle, I think thats stupid. If you want to get a nice car and put a nice, loud system in it, get a ****ing SUV man. New Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ 4 15's will get ****ing LOUD and you'll still drive a nice auto.

Well, w/o taking up the rear seat...i'd say it won't happen. I mean, might be able to get mid 160s, but 170 is another story. BUT, i'd go with 4 RE 18 MT's and 16 zapco 4kw's!!! Wonder if that would work? oh an obviously as many 400 amp alternators that would fit under the hood...and like 16 yellow tops in the rear. yeah...not so sure bout all that in a supra...lol. peace

170db I can't see in a Supra, because 170db means bye bye windows. And I couldn't stand for standard issue competition van windows on a supra........personally.....I don't think that would look too good lol.

Let's see here, Hitting the 170 mark in a supra ( or any vehicle for that matter ) , with good SQ, and keeping the backseat. You got about as much chance as a snickers bar at a fat farm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Now you could put a thumpin system into a supra, been there done that many times. But 170db is a whole different animal. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pretty much you are talking an entire rebuild of the car. The backseat is gone caue you will need the wall there. The windows are all replaced with Lexan or super-thick glass and reinforced with steel strips. You will end up adding a ton (literally) of weight to the car and the chances of hitting 170 are still pretty slim. It wasn't that many years ago when hitting 170 was thought near impossible. I really don't think that you understand how loud that is. A rock concert is around 120 dB. 10 dB is a perceived doubling of loudness. You are talking 32 times as loud as a rock concert. You are NOT sitting in the car with it that loud. 150dB is much louder than you can stand for more than a few seconds.

You say an unlimited budget? Modify the Supra into an SUV or van and start with that, and forget about anything resmbling SQ. At 170dB you are talking one note and one note only.

And freakin ungodly, painful loud note at that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It's the "F" note!

F for f*cking impossible in a stock vehicle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It wouldn't even be a Supra any more due to all the extra weight your adding onto the car.

You couldn't even //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/driving.gif.c4dead4599dda895032b63e51f52b126.gif it.
