I need a few opinions on a head unit

I would suggest going with a pioneer 6400. I recently purchased one for $399.99(canadian) nad it works well. you can manipulate the sound verry well with it.

I am going to put it this way you should get what you like. IMO i like alpine lot of features and true 4 volt preout for you sub. They are real good for SQ. They are making them cheaper now. Me myself i have Alpine CDA-7893, in which i will be selling so that i can get the Alpine CDA-7894.

4 volt preouts you say? How about the 6 volt preouts on my Pioneer deck?

I do agree that you should get what you want, but you can't beat having 6 volt preouts :c)

It's like having a line driver built into your head unit.

lol that is combine not just one lmao. 3x front, rear, and sub = 6volt. I am talking about 4 volt TRUE FOR SUB ONLY.

Actually, I just read in the manual where it says what voltages are used, and all THREE preouts are at 6.5 volts.

Therefore your math doesn't work regardless, since you assumed there were only two preouts. And yes, one of them is for subs only.

i have two cars with two decks of the same brand and would not go with any other

-in my 97 escort i have a pioneer deh-p6300

-2000 sentra i have a pioneer deh-p930

alpine and kenwood are both good names and are good choices but with alpine i find the controls are a bit wacked and the pioneer is more comfortable to use and with kenwood... well tho it is my opinion and there are those who go the other way just as much... i dont feel that kenwood is quite the caliber of hu that pioneer is.

-u could get a deh-p6300 for cheap and it has subwoofer xover controls on the deck which is nice...

*but i must say and hu is an hu is an hu... get one with the features u want and ull be happy.

i must agree with the jellydime theory..

caraudio = audio .... not video... lol... maybe for kids who dont have their own pad or something but i would never get my moneys worth out of any video or other interactive function off car deck ... i drive i get out of car... lol
