after much mind changing and many good and bad examples, the final prototype arrived and all is well. I have signed off on it and have authorized production. I managed to get

here are the basic specs for the final version of our entry level Vibration Mat, Damplifier:

59 mil thick butyl/mastic compound

3 mil aluminum foil

installed weight of .39 lbs per sq foot

450+ degree F. Tollerance to heat without failure

sheet size 32" x 18" die cut

Damplifier Pro Prototype should arrive this week. If all goes well specs will be similar to:

78 mil thick butyl/mastic compound

4 mil aluminum foil

Installed weight of .50 lbs per sq foot

475+ degree F. Tollerance to heat without failure

sheet size 32" x 18" die cut

Both products will be offered in kit sizes like:

Speaker Kit 4 sq feet

Door Kit 16 sq feet

Trunk Kit 28 sq feet

Bulk kit 40 sq feet

compare the heat tollerance of Damplifier, 450 f. to that other popular brands

Dynamat extreme 300

Brown Bread 293

bquiet extreme 230

Fatmat 200

peel and seal 150

I could understand 400F tolerances if you wanted to dampen a space shuttle, but whats the advantage to the heat differences?

you can use it on your car's bonnet safely. Hell, I already use the damplifier v1 on my hood anyhow. (under the fireproof material, of course)
