how to delete i tunes 'duplicates'

is there an easy way to delete 5 gigs of duplicates and keep the original?

i can select

'show all duplicates'

but no easy (quick) way can see to remove them?

In iTunes, click View, then show duplicates. Then, just delete the duplicate titles.

x2 I actually would like an answer to to the op's question. I download a lot of discographys and artists put certain song on more than just one album. I have lots of annoying duplicates.

hmmm. why do you have so many multiples?

That might solve your problem. If you added a full library on top of an existing one, then you can sort all the duplicates by date added and select those and delete them.

Or, maybe there's another way you can sort them out so where you will lump all the duplicates together, making it easy to select that group rather than selecting every other song.
