How Much Money Did You Spend On Your Entire System?

as for me it took me about 1 year and 1 month to save up for my entire system and after that i have to wait another 3 more months to get all my parts in and another week after that to get it all hooked up.. total came out to be 1.2k for front and rear speakers, 2 subs, 2 amps, sub encloser subzero, got my deck for free.. and its all rockford except the subs.. subs are diamond audio

I TRY not to think about it, but since you asked...

HU: Alpine 9813 $300 off eBay.

Amps: Orion 225HCCA x 3 (for the next week or so if I even get them in before the 250 shows up) $500 each new in '96 for 2 and $150 off eBay for the 3rd. The 250 I got NOS for $295 shipped.

Subs: JL audio 10W6 x 3 (original model) $250 each new in '96. $80 each for a recone (car accident and several years in storage took their toll) a fe wmonths ago.

Speakers: CDT ES-620 $439 from the Zeb.

Wiring: Audiopipe 1/0 and 4 ga $100 (there's a lot of wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif), Stinger Bullet 17' interconnects x 2 $27 each, Stinger Expert series battery terminals, fuse holders and distro blocks ~$150, Stinger Expert series speaker wire 10ga (20') and 14 ga (100') ~$80.

Total: $3263

Time to acquire: 8 years

Time to install: 1 month and counting. Hopefully it will at least be working in the next week.

Now you see why I try not to think about it.

I have the best sounding car audio system I've ever heard. If you ever get to sit in my car and hear my system, you'll know I did pretty good for $2000.

It took about a year, piece by piece.

At this point, I could not ask for better.

So far I've spent $0...but that is going to change soon...

Alpine 9813: $300

Memphis Audio 16-MC2004: $216

- Lost Cause

You should never break yourself getting car audio.

Most of us that have posted so far have spent atleast a year acquiring what we have. And if you have a decent, STEADY job, $2000 isn't a WHOLE LOT over 12-18 months time. Especially if you still live with your parents like I do, hehehe.
