Everything the same, you will gain 3 dbs every time the wattage is doubled. Going from 1400 to 2000 will probably only net you an increase of 1-2 dbs, which should be audible but not a huge difference. I would go with the tantrum personally.

not familiar with the tantrum, but going form 1400 watts to 2000 is just under a 1.5dB gain. It is audible.

If it was me ... I'd go for 1000 - 1200 watts per sub. If it means getting two amps, get two amps. Perhaps an alternator upgrade should be in the works as well.

Just my opinion of course.

how much is a alt upgrade gonna cost me? because if it isnt much ill get the 2 bx1000s. someone said that in the manual the bx1000 only put out 750 watts at 1 ohm, is this right or rong. thnx

i have the bx 1000, I liked it at first. The bad thing is everything has to run on max for my subs to pound. The amp gets warm but never over heats. go with pg, my opinion

What's your budget for a pair of 1000-1200 x 1 @ 1ohm amps ?
