I had mine on my 81000d @ 1 ohm. My cap kept on popping off, so now I have it running at 4 ohms, so around 750. I would put a grand to it and it will sound fine.
I have a brahma coming and have an audiobahn amp rated rms at 2000watt @ 1 ohm 1000 @ 2 ohm or 500 @ 4 ohm amp. I know I can run it at 1 ohm but that would be too much, should I get another brahma I will probably go with sealed box. thoughts from yall?
If you got another Brahma 500 to each would be alright. I would cancel the amp order if I were you though.
How much room do you have? You could go with 6 or so cube box ported to compensate for not having enough watts.
If I could get someone elses opinion it would help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif, thanks.
I already have the amp now on 2 audiobahn aw1000q's with each sub getting roughly the 1000 watts? Would 1 brahma be better than the 2 10's? if not will the 2 brahmas be much better? just never satisfied.
Yes the Brahma 12 will blow those audiobahn's away. It will have tons better SQ and the low end will be godly. I have 2 also and all I can say is it's loud. The 2 brahma's just play with my 81000d, I need another amp. Nice choice on a sub...
I've got a 12" Brahma running off a Crossfire BMF600. So at 14v its putting out close to 800 watts RMS. About all the power it needs. I wouldn't pass 1k watt on a Brahma. I shredded one already from a Hifonics 1,500 watts amp (of course most of this was probably due to distortion).
You can do over a grand I would just watch the gains. I had mine going with probably 15-1800 ( because of 81000d @ 1 ohm) and all that happened was the middle cap, with the bull on it, came flying off. I guess that's called the dust cap.
Good deal. So If I get the second brahma, my calculations put 500 rms to each according to the specs on the amp. That sounds ok to me. I was also thinking of selling the amp for a pair of amps. One for each sub? thoughts on that?

If you do that I am pretty sure you need another box because it is about impossible to get the amps to hit exactly the same. That would be a good idea though. I have a friend that has 2 12" D2's and he is getting 2 hifonics 1000d's. We have to build another box. If someone could correct me if I'm wrong that would help....
other thought. I have roughly 2.3 cubes to play with. What would the difference be on the meter with amp I have with 1000 watts to one sub in a ported box vs. amp I have with 2 subs with 500 going to each in two sealed chambers?
